perfumeprices.info is a pure price comparison portal for perfume. There is no user account, no shopping cart of our own and no payment processing of our own, we do not sell anything ourselves. Personal data we process is therefore limited: technical log data when you visit the site, a technically necessary cookie storing your chosen country, a technical identifier when you click an affiliate link, and whatever you send us if you write to us by email. We do not match this data against other sources and do not build profiles from it.
When you visit our pages, the server running perfumeprices.info automatically processes technical access data: IP address, date and time of access, the page requested, the referring page, browser type and operating system, and the amount of data transferred. This data arises for technical reasons without any input from you.
The purpose of this processing is the secure and reliable operation of the site: delivering the requested content, detecting and defending against attacks, and troubleshooting technical faults. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the secure and functioning operation of our infrastructure, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
We keep this log data only as long as necessary for these purposes, usually a few weeks, after which it is automatically deleted or anonymised. Longer retention of individual records only happens if they are needed as evidence in connection with a specific security incident.
We set two cookies of our own. The pp_land cookie stores, for one year, only the country you have chosen, so that we can show you the right prices, shipping costs and shops on every further visit; it is technically necessary for the site to work, without your chosen country we could not calculate a total price for you. The pp_consent cookie stores, for twelve months, which categories you agreed to in the cookie banner, so we do not ask you again on every visit. The legal basis for both cookies is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR and, where applicable, the corresponding Austrian provision on strictly necessary cookies, which do not require consent.
In the cookie banner and via the „Customize“ button or the „Cookie settings“ link in the footer, you can choose between three categories:

If you then buy something at the shop, we may receive a commission from Awin; this does not change the price for you. The link passes a technical identifier (a so-called click parameter) to Awin so that a later purchase can be attributed correctly to our site and the commission billed correctly. In addition to this identifier, Awin receives the usual connection data such as IP address and browser identifier as part of the technical request. We do not pass on your name, email address or any other personal details, because we do not collect them. The legal basis for this disclosure is our legitimate interest in a working, correctly billed partnership with Awin, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Awin and the shops themselves process the data they receive as their own, independently responsible controllers; see their own privacy policies for details.
Our pages run behind Cloudflare, a network service that routes requests to our server, speeds up delivery and protects against attacks such as overload or abuse. Cloudflare processes technical connection data on our behalf as a data processor, under a corresponding contract pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. The legal basis for this is our legitimate interest in the secure and reliable operation of the site, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
perfumeprices.info runs on a server we operate at Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestraße 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. The server is located in Germany. Hetzner provides the technical infrastructure and processes the technical data that arises solely on our behalf, under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
Our mailbox is operated via Google Workspace, provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. If you write to us, your message and the information it contains are stored there. Google processes this data on our behalf under Art. 28 GDPR. Processing outside the European Union, in particular in the United States, cannot be ruled out; it relies on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses under Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR and on the provider’s certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Cloudflare operates a worldwide network, so technical request data may in individual cases also be processed outside the European Union and the European Economic Area, for example in the United States. Where this is the case, the transfer relies on the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR) as well as additional technical and contractual safeguards Cloudflare has committed to as a processor. The same applies to the operation of our email mailbox. Our hosting itself runs in Germany; Awin and the shops process data as their own independent controllers under their own privacy policies.
If you write to us by email, for example via the contact page, we process the data you provide in order to handle and answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in answering enquiries). We delete these messages once the request has been dealt with, unless we are required by law to retain them for longer.
perfumeprices.info currently offers neither a user account nor a newsletter. There are therefore no user profiles, no email lists and no evaluation of your behaviour across multiple visits.
To the extent we process personal data about you, you have the following rights under the GDPR. An informal message to the address above, to [email protected] or via the contact page is sufficient to exercise them.
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your data infringes the GDPR. The authority responsible for us as an Austrian company is the Austrian Data Protection Authority, Barichgasse 40-42, 1030 Vienna, Austria. You may also contact the supervisory authority in your own country of residence if you prefer, supervisory authorities within the EU cooperate in such cases.
We do not use automated decision-making within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR that produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you.
perfumeprices.info is not specifically directed at children. We are aware that we do not technically verify visitors‘ ages; however, we do not collect any data that would allow the identification of children, nor do we collect age-related information.
